The idea
A landscape
for slowing down.
Inspired by Kazuyo Sejima’s lightness, fluidity and dissolving boundaries, the pop-up transforms stationery retail into a sensory experience. Pale surfaces, continuous curves and controlled light establish a calm counterpoint to the industrial scale of Carriageworks.

Spatial planning
One path.
Four rituals.
A continuous meandering route links arrival, tea, stationery discovery and journaling. Changes in enclosure create compression and release, gradually slowing movement. A cobalt line makes the route legible against the pale palette, while interior and exterior access offer different ways to explore.

Materiality
Pale surfaces.
Careful choices.
A restrained palette brings together mycelium leather, MarbleWood, reflective aluminium and curved glass, with a small cobalt-blue accent. Tactile surfaces and soft neutrals support the installation’s calm atmosphere. Materials are selected with their next life in mind, considering reuse, recycling and recovery after the festival.

Physical model
Testing
the atmosphere.
A physical model explores the relationships between curved walls, openings, the tree and circular furniture. Working in three dimensions tests how enclosure and continuity can coexist, and how a visitor discovers each station through movement.
